Obviously, we've started a blog! The Tuesday before Christmas, David and I closed on a piece of property in Woodbury, VT. A little over six acres of woods and hillside are now ours! It's very exciting to be starting the process of building what we have always referred to as our "Someday House."
Here are some pictures from the first time we looked at the property, last winter. The ski tracks run across what will be the house site and our yard. Where the snow ends, a wooded hillside begins.
This last picture is a panorama, and gives a little more of a sense of the view!
We're very excited to begin doing some work in our new woods, and that meant we needed a new tool. Many thanks to Bob, Jamie, and Brian for the land-warming present. We are so grateful.
Our nephews were given a toy chainsaw for Christmas - Simon got it out to play with while David was looking at ours!
We're both looking forward to felling the first tree of our own next week!
